This community service program was motivated by the need to integrate environmental and public health interventions through active community participation, with youth positioned as key local mobilizers in Talumae Village, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The program aimed to build synergy among university students, the village government, youth, and community members in strengthening awareness of healthy environments and public health. The activities used a community-based participatory approach consisting of initial coordination and needs identification, participatory planning, intervention implementation, participation strengthening, and evaluation. The results indicate that the village’s agrarian characteristics, traditions of mutual cooperation, institutional support from the village government, and youth involvement provide an important foundation for program implementation. University students acted as facilitators who connected local needs with educational activities and collective action, while the village government provided institutional support for program continuity. Integrating environmental and health issues through youth engagement expanded opportunities for community participation and strengthened the potential for more independent local program management. The program demonstrates that a multi-actor participatory approach can strengthen local capacity, although quantitative impact measurement and longer-term sustainability evaluation are still required.
